Day 5: Winters, CA to San Francisco, CA- 46 miles

We made it!!! What a great time Thom and I had over the last 5 days and 300 miles!!! 

Finally got downhills today!

We boarded a ferry to take us from Vallejo to San Fran:

Our final destination: The Golden Gate Bridge!!!

Day 4: Folsom, CA to Winters, CA- 67 miles

Great day of riding! It's hot, but we made it! A very nice trail along the 'Merican River. Now we await to fry the chicken and veggies!!!

Day 3: Silver Lake, CA to Folsom, CA- 91 miles

91 flippin HOT miles...but a lot of downhill...but HOT miles...91!!!!

Day 2- Carson City, NV to Silver Lake, CA- 60 miles

So much climbing today!!! Probably around 4000 feet. But well worth it. We are now at a beautiful campsite with great neighbors who invited us over to their fire...yay!!!!

Carson Pass- 8,574 feet up!!!

This is Oren. Oren made this VeloMobile bicycle which is super aerodynamic. Oren 's top speed is 70 mph and easily pushes 35 mph on flat roads. Jennifer, can I get one?!?!?!

Round 2: Day 1- Reno, NV to Carson City, NV- 31 miles

Travel day from Fresno to Reno then Reno to Carson City.

It rained the whole ride and now we are at a RV park with not much shelter. But all is well. Hope the rain stops!

P.S. I'm homesick already!

Tomorrow It Begins!!!

Tomorrow I leave with Thom Wise to ride from Reno, NV to San Francisco, CA. This is going to be about 300 miles, 5 days, and what would have been the last part of our initial trip. So excited to ride alongside Thom and give this trip some good solid closure.
